Undaunted Consulting is a for-profit company with a nonprofit ethos. We exclusively serve nonprofits, and we use a unique model to do it. 

Independent Consulting

When you are an independent consultant, only about 50% of your time is spent actually generating revenue, at best. The rest is spent pursuing new clients, preparing documents, and just running the business. This creates a feast-and-famine cycle, where you go from very busy with projects to very worried about ever getting another one. 

Undaunted Consulting

Undaunted Consulting helps to break the feast-famine cycle. We are a network of independent consultants, working as a team, pooling resources and knowledge, and sharing and referring leads to reduce individual overhead, extend our reach, and generate more profitable and stable income. Here’s how:

• We reduce your turnaround time by giving you colleagues and a knowledge base.

But what about money? To put it simply, we work on a profit-sharing model. When a consultant takes a lead on a project, they keep the bulk of the revenue. The rest goes to overhead. They can also subcontract to their colleagues at a fixed rate. 

The Right Fit

This is a good opportunity if you are new to consulting, want to learn how to do it, or if you would like more independence than you have at your current job. Undaunted Consulting gives you the best of both. You have the flexibility of an independent consultant and the stability that comes from being part of an organization. 

We tell clients that we do not want their money if we cannot help them. The same principle applies to our consultants. We don’t do sales pitches. We simply talk and try to be as transparent as possible. 

Basic Qualifications

If you are interested in joining our team, there are a few non-negotiable criteria: 

1. Be a good human. No, seriously. Be someone other people look at and say, “There’s someone who’s always trying to do the right thing.” 
2. Have nonprofit experience. You’ve been on staff at some kind of nonprofit. We may consider a heavily involved volunteer. 
3. Have niche tech expertise. Tech consultants aren’t necessarily developers. What they have is deep expertise in certain platforms, systems, and/or methods (though some coding knowhow is definitely a plus).  
4. Support our clients. If you have problems with pronouns and bodily autonomy, then this won’t be a good fit.
